Phantasm is a collection of five EPs to be released serially, like episodes of a western tv show. The first single, also entitled “Phantasm,” is an audio trailer for the ensuing series: a meditation on the new Wild West, a hardened digital frontier, rife with voyeurism and narcissism — a stark terrain for those with mental health struggles. The Mirage Marauders songs are imbued with a sense of disorder, instability, and a longing to feel safe.
